Custom product discussions can begin from different starting points. The most useful input depends on how well the product geometry and functional requirements are already defined.

Physical Sample

A sample can communicate overall form, installation position and visible details. Important dimensions, material changes and functional expectations should still be identified in writing.

2D Drawing

A dimensioned drawing can clarify interfaces, tolerances and critical geometry. It is especially useful when the product must fit an existing assembly.

3D or CAD File

CAD data can support geometry review and tooling discussion. The file should be accompanied by information about application, finish, quantity and any areas that may still change.

Reference Photo or Product Idea

A photo or concept may be sufficient for an initial discussion, but additional measurements or design work will normally be required before quotation, tooling or prototyping.

Whichever starting point is used, the next step is requirement confirmation followed by feasibility and manufacturing-route review.
